Dr. Hale received his MD and MBA degrees from Michigan State University. He is board certified in internal medicine and insurance medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. He has 20 years of experience practicing primary care internal medicine and fifteen years of experience in the insurance industry. He is currently an Associate Medical Director at State Farm. He is a frequent speaker at industry conferences, has written for On the Risk and the Journal of Insurance Medicine, and is a past-president of both AAIM and MMDA.
